Keep Brand Facts Consistent Across Public Profiles

Align accurate name, scope, author and contact details across the site and public profiles.

An entity record helps a person—or a system—distinguish the real business from similarly named profiles. Consistency means accurate facts with clear owners, not copy-pasting the same slogan everywhere.

Create a source-of-truth card

Keep the preferred name, official site, service scope, markets served, contact route, author identity, and source for each fact. Mark which items are stable and which must be rechecked, such as current services, addresses, staff, and availability. Assign an owner who can confirm changes.

Audit the portfolio, author bio, GitHub profile, public frameworks, and linked profiles. Check that names and URLs resolve to the same entity, that the service description is supported by the actual work, and that old contact or market claims have not persisted. Use slightly different descriptions when the audience or platform needs a different explanation, while keeping the facts aligned.

Resolve a conflict without inventing authority

If one profile says “SEO agency” and another says “independent marketing operator,” decide the accurate current scope and update the outdated label. Do not add a location, credential, client logo, or specialty merely because it might improve recognition. Where two legitimate services exist, explain the relationship clearly.

Record the URL, field, current text, verified source, change owner, and date checked. Recheck after a rebrand, service change, or contact migration. Search and AI systems may still interpret profiles differently; a clean record improves clarity but does not guarantee a knowledge panel or citation.
